Relay for 12v fridge switch

Totally useless on a boat.

LPG is heavier than air and will collect in the bilges, you need an alarm with remote sensors.

All depends on where you mount it .... where your gas pipes / appliance is ....

My only gas appliance is the cooker set UP on a plinth. The gas pipes run in the toerail / underdeck and then short drop to the cooker connection.
Test showed it worked with only a very small amount of gas 'leaked' and the unit mounted lower than the system.

I accept that if there was gas in more than one area collecting - then remote active sensing is needed. I was of your opinion before testing ... and surprised by results.
Without careful planning - your remote sensors could be useless just as a single unit as this if poorly placed.

Having been not only a yottie all my life - but also caravans ... I had a good idea of how to mount and get results.

It may also interest some - my Company was the ONLY Lab Test facility for LPG in the Eastern Baltic - I provided analysis and supervision of LPG transit for shipments to Poland, East Germany, local markets etc . I sold of the lab gear a few years back when transit biz here died .....
