Despite cutting and polishing the boat prior to re-launch we're suffering with black marking on the rainwater run off areas already. What's the best stuff to remove this? Are there any wash on rinse off answers? TFR does the job a treat but it also strips off the protective polish! I may look at putting a white plastic drip strip under the rubbing strip in an attempt to get the rain to fall down rather than run down the hull thus creating the mess.

Funnily enough, there is a product called 'Black Streak Remover'!, I use it on the Motorhome and Boat too, you can get it from your nearest Caravan Dealer.
It's easy to use and won't affect your protective coating. If they havent got that, then see if they have 'Fenwicks' (does the same job)

not sure it can be done without removing polish as well. Patented boat remover does the job, but so does truck wash products. Send a PM "hlb" for elixir of boat remover. No, not a joke.
