Took this pic at anchor off Arne (Poole harbour) last night. Only 4 or 5 other boats there...... where was everyone this weekend?

No jetskis.... no water-skiers..... no dinghy racers..... no trip boats with discos belting out...... no kids running up and down pontoons.

It was hell! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Washing? what washing? (swmbo will have my guts /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif )

Yes, St Michael's Mount of course. -And don't try it if there's a swell running.

One of my favourite spots as well. Don't tell everyone about it.

Edit:
My theory is that they were all doing the Little Britain Cup if the traffic in the Eastern Solent on Saturday afternoon is anything to go by.

Lovely pic,

This sort of ties in with the other thread about marinas, although we keep our boat in a marina, as soon as we get loaded up on a Friday eve we are off! Last Friday was no exeption and just like Poole harbour, Chicester harbour on Friday evening at anchor was like heaven, just what the system needs to wind down.

Where was everyone at the weekend? This Sept now and most will be planning haul out and laying up!

Sunday morning did start off a little breezy..... with the wind blowing from the north right down through the channel. Being early risers we left just before second high water to avoid the wind against tide, which would have had us sheering all over the place!

Might even have passed you somewhere on the way! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
