am a prout owner (Q33) and wanting a larger boat had a trial sail in the 38. to be honest, was a bit disappointed. seemed to me that it sailed no better than my old boat, and was distinctly high off the water. very french in style.
also, uneasy about balsa sandwich in the hull.
suggest you have a trial sail and make your own mind up - prout are usually happy to arrange that.
