Princess V48

IPS drives serviced today, new seals, oil etc & props acid cleaned, painted then AF applied. All looking nice. New anodes fitted to genny, engines & drives. Great videos provided showing everything, including an identified leak from the passerele dripping onto the AC units. That will also be fixed next week.

Next up is various works, main items are some electrical power upgrades, upholstery works, teak deck refurbishing etc. Should all start next week, going to have a call tomorrow to get some confirmation.

Few pictures from the yard. Was down at the yard this morning having a look. Still having issues with the platform. Needs to be fixed before we load for Loch Lomond.

Cockpit table removed and getting sanded down to take off previous owners varnish. I’ll get that back fitted and treat it with teak oil. So much better than varnish imho.

Been told that the engineers are looking at platform early next week. This should have been resolved pre sale, disappointed that this wasn’t resolved then. I’m holding the broker accountable as they said it was fixed. Not sure if they are recovering costs from previous owners or not. Anyway, needs to be fixed and I’m hopeful we get to the bottom of the issue.

Hopefully something simple and easily fixed.

Lovely boat.

How are you exactly going to recover your expenses fixing the defected BP ?
I am assuming you have handed £ over and now are the new owner ?

[ had a knock and the frames distorted , sensor can’t align ]

Waiting for a further assessment to be carried out then I’ll decide how best to proceed. The platform failed on survey and I have written agreement that this will be fixed. I completed on that basis that the ‘defects’ and some other items would be done, which they were, however the platform fix has not worked. So the broker has instructed an engineer to fix. Wait to see what the outcome is.
