Princess V48

Loading tomorrow at 0830. Coast 2 coast are arriving tonight for a sleep over then loading at 0830.

Tried to upload pictures of the teak renovation but getting a server side error.
Hope it arrives safely! Do you know what route they will take?

We turned back the chalk and two part cleaned it 2 or 3 times, then used Semco cleartone to seal it.

Not sure it’s that clean to be honest. I use aglaze 2 part on my teak so may need to get fine in a few months time and resealed again with the semco.

Might be ok in the flesh, I’ll know Friday, she’s on her way to her new berth.

Lovely seeing such a nice boat coming up to Cameron House. I have my new (to me) 2008 Four Winns 248 Vista coming up to Balmaha for the season after buying it in Southampton last week and some maintenance and upgrades being completed in a boatyard in Poole over the next 2-3 weeks.

Sounds exciting. And thanks for comments.

A quick question on shorepower. My boat has 2 shorepower connections, each 32 amps is my understanding.

At my home berth I’ve been given a 16amp socket with a 24 amp breaker. The marine post can’t handle any more amperage without upgrading the cable.

When I run AC Heating, I can only run 2 of the units, out of 4 available without causing a p5 pwr error on the displays.

What’s the thoughts on what I need to get this working as per design?

I’m only connected to shorepower 1 socket on the boat.

Well firstly, there is no way a 16Amp socket should be protected by a 24 amp mcb. Well thinking, I am sure they don’t make a 24 amp mcb . So firstly ask them what breaker you are on ,maybe 25 type b or c. If so ask to have the socket changed for a 32 amp. Which can be used on a lower mcb size. Do they have any 32 sockets anywhere . On your socket post how many 16 amp sockets is there.
