2.5% seems about the norm on Premier's "normal" berthing rates Kev. We are moving back to Swanwick on the 19th, so expect to see you waving a tear soaked handkerchief at the lock around 09.30
Which pontoon are you moving to?

D17. Will arrive around 13.00 weather permitting! You?
Out on the end of E pontoon looking straight at the Elephant boatyard, E48.
I guess you were in Swanwick previously?
Yes, we were there for a number of years with a mobo, sold in 2011, and out of boating. Recently turned raggie (again!) with Gibsea 33. We love Swanwick, friends in marina still, and family nearby. Looking forward to returning. I guess you are in spitting distance of the Jolly Sailor!
Yes, great place to people watch; used to be on the hammerhead of F pontoon before it was removed for the fuel berth and lift. That was (in my opinion) the best berth on the river, no need for TV onboard when berthed there!
You must pop round for a glass or two once we've stocked up.
I have renewed because in my opinion the price on the contract reflects the offer.
Doing sums based on last years renewal at the full rate annual berths have gone up about 3%.
The fact they would not renew at the discounted rate for a poor access berth has me voting with my feet, I was going to post separately on this at some time soon but it's not worth it now. I can only say Martin Bowman did his best to talk a deal with the highest manager but to no avail, the other issues I had were again beyond his control, a case of requests not been attended to, one of which was the fact anyone could plug into my electric point and use my credit as the disconnection of the shore lead did not switch off the supply, this took from May last year to about two weeks ago to be rectified, this in my view just isn't good enough.
Mdl don't have a Drystack in haying island!! Perhaps you Should have tried Hamble point, I am moving there in April and Hamble point have been Fab, they even test lifted my boat and placed it in the rack I will be using to make sure I was happy.
I Was a berth holder at swanwick a few years ago, never again..
Like I said, our deal was acceptable and so we renewed.
I am also not suggesting for one minute our annual berthing last year was without any issues, we too had electrical issues amongst other things but managed to come to an amicable understanding while a longer term solution was being implemented. It would seem we have enjoyed a very different level of resolution and satisfaction and I can't offer any reason as to why that may have been.
I just wanted to put some balance into to a thread that started out talking about huge price increases and suggested that berth holders were leaving and the marina was only half full.

What's the wifi like now Paul, it used to be carp when we were there last.
TRAFALGAR DRYSTACK is a must visit as if it can meet your requirements it will win hands down over many other dry stacks.
Why? I've heard there is no shore power to the stack? And it is a long way from the sea.
yes i keep fridges on, dehumidifier on and heater on. Also beds made up with quilts, clothes in wardrobe. That way I can use the boat at any time I fancy, any day of the year with no forethought. Good progress I call that![]()
