Poor Brighton / Bears bottom

Just seen Paulines post re Brighton weather and bears bottoms, reminded me of Friday 26th sitting in a
bar on Costa Del Sol looking at the wonderfully flat med and decided to check the South Coast weather
via my mobile (Met IWF 1005) and read 26/4 6.00 GMT wind SW6 or 7 perhaps gale 8 veering West 5or6
later heavy rain. So no change there then.
We landed Sunday and apart from Mon & Tues when the wind picked up, there was a high pressure
26 & sunny with a practically flat sea.

I have put our name down for a 12m Berth in Puerto De La Duquesa which is a small marina along from
Estepona. Have you heard of it Dom (depsol) ? Cant wait to get out there and cruise

2 x good resturants in village about 2k to west of marina along main road.

Hard work never did anyone any good.You die from it.

They have berths? or are you on the waiting list? Nice spot, quite friendly folks, a ways to go for shopping etc, you will find a car useful.

We are buying a villa between Estepona & Duquesa and we'll have the car so no probs there.
We dined in a new steak house overlooking the Marina on Thursday night the food was very good.
Yes just put our name down for now however I have got a guy looking out for people selling boat & berth

Just missed one when I was there. The idea being buy boat & berth, out the boat and buy the one of your choice
The berths have 94 yrs to go so good investment, should go up in value.

I didn't realise you were buying the berth, I tend to just use them when needed, but good idea if you are going to live down there. I'll be coming along that coast in about two weeks, may go into benalmaedena for a couple of nights, just to pick crew up, I don't like the place and no security. Duquesa, never seem to have room for me! I may even bite the bullet abnd go into Banus, we'll see!
