Poliglow - The results so far, I'm impressed!

Re: Poliglow - The results so far, I\'m impressed!

Well, did All Gold with Poliglow last Monday. Although the weather was not very clement it was a doddle to do and I'm very impressed with the results.

Have a look

I'm no great shakes with a camera or picture editing package but this page should give you an idea.

Maybe I've missed it, I can't see anything on your site about your guarantee. Would you give more details?

PoliGlow! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Crap! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Wasted my time and money applying it last year, applied OK on a flat surface (hull) but around deck areas, very fiddly.

Looked good but not great on the hull. But, even after 2 days to dry, when the marina dorry put my boat back onto my berth, the Poliglow came off! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Two months later, the hull topsides came into contact with a rubbing strip on a pontoon, off come the Poliglow!

So I would suggest that if you are not going to keep your boat in a marina, or if it is not going to rub against anything (mooring buoy?) then Poliglow is great!

Its coming off in August, never to go back.

I see you've searched for an old thread and dragged it up as well as your other marketing thread.
Your website looks like an ebay auction. Is a shitty pic of the bottles in a box the best you can manage?

[/ QUOTE ] Well I for one am pleased he did! You'll see from early in the thread that it was something I was interested in and although I never got round to trying it it remained in the back of my mind.

Now we have the benefit of being able to read of another forumite's experiences.

I can forget about it, along with another miracle cure for faded gel-coat I tried in the past'

I conclude that there are only two ways to deal with faded gel coat. Hard work with a polishing compound then when that is no longer an option; paint.

[/ QUOTE ] It's just something thrown together using particularly crappy DIY sitebuilder software with loads of the default text carelessly left in.

I wouldn't buy anything from anyone that had taken as little care with their website as this, and I certainly wouldn't let them work on my boat.

The cleaner IS GOOD the actual PolyGlow 'stuff' reminds me and has a very close resemblance to the liquid 'instant shine' my mother used to put on the vinyl floor in the 60's, I think it was called Dual.

So if you did want to do this treatment, get the hull clean and have a look on the housewares shelf at Tesco (unless your posh, like wot I am, then you go to Waitrose /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

[/ QUOTE ] I'll get the butler to send one of the staff. You don't expect me to go to places like that do you? I doubt if the chauffeur would take me anyway.
