I was talking to Mike Tasker from Rolly Tasker sails in Phuket, he said all their staff survived , however everyone had friends , rellies etc who didnt make it.
Further he said 75 % of the island has returned to normal. This does not apply to Kao Lak or Phi Phi Island. There is still a risk of the diseases that always accompany such a major disaster of breaking out in these places. This is not the case on Phuket Island now.

I have no financial interest in Rolly Tasker Sail Loft , but thought it would be one way we can get them back on their feet by giving them some business.. just a thought.

If you wanted to have an update on the present conditions , contact Mike at ......................http://www.rollytasker.com

It's a good thought, Brian.

I think the best way for all of these stricken people to recover is if they can get thier businesses working again ASAP.
The affected countries will need additional support for a long time into the future, but I'm sure they will want to be doing as much as they can for themselves.
We can help by making measured decisions to bring in the tourist revenue.

Good luck to Mike and all his staff.
