p35 YM .. what a nice

And may I say TK what a fine article although, if I may be so bold, 60% of seemed to be justifying why that fine ocean greyhound of yours, the trusty Twister Indigo spent hours going precisely nowhere!

The author squeaks

I am not responsible for the sub-editing, nor for the fact that I seem to race a non-existent model of Swan (hint add 10 to the model number and put the sentence into the past tense).

OTOH young JJ has done a good job on reporting the classic British sailing yacht later on in the comic.

It really annoys me ....

..... when threads appear on the forum referring to articles in the latest issue of YM on the day that it arrives in the post.

I work away from home all week and don't get to read the mag until the weekend, by which time half the contents have already been aired and debated.

I think I will ask Mr Gelder to hold the posting date back to Thursday or Friday so nobody gets to read it before me.

Either that, or ask Kim to bar all threads referring to the magazine until the weekend - that'll stop you buggers !!!

Re: It really annoys me ....

Spare a thought for the overseas readers, we may have to wait another ten to fourteen days to know what you're talking about. They'd better deliver the magazines by yacht, to the Continent isn't such a long crossing.

Re: It really annoys me ....

I think I will have to move over to a postal subscription, my bloomin newsagent will hang on to the mag until Friday and I want to see the piccy. I look forward to reading Ken's article, it was a great weekend and we really need to arrange another get together this year, maybe a major West Country visit as well as a X-channel sortie. Don't know how Ken thought young Jimbo and meself might be referring to the yachts, although the 331's not too ugly is it?

Re: YM - special Scuttlebut issue

Nice article Ken. As skipper of the Pathfinder cruise the week before, I've had to explain to the missus after she read the article, that our boat really did go to Cherbourg, albeit not quite as billed. She of course remains deeply doubtful.

Nicho's adventure reads well too. After his eventful sailing experiences in 2003, I think he maybe needs to take a rest this year, or re-convert back to a stinkie.

So a brace of Scuttlebutter articles in one issue! What's next, Scuttlebutt LIBS review?

Re: It really annoys me ....

A bit late off the blocks (going through a demanding work period) but just read the article and it's good, though sadly the Brittany Spears passed us by.

Amaya's current cocktail is the slippery nipple which is caluha, sambuca and baileys and looks like a miniature guiness. Thought you should know.
