A year or so back I watched a Youtube video showing the decaying unfinished replica of George V's Britannia, up in the north of Portsmouth Harbour. I hadn't realised she wasn't still off Hythe. I can't see Britannia anywhere in Portsmouth Harbour on Google Maps satellite or aerial view, currently. Has she been moved again?

While looking at the aerial imagery, I noticed on Streetview a very far-gone wooden wreck a few yards west from the M275, just north of the bridge at Hilsea...

Older Streetview pics from 15 years earlier than the latest (2023) show this vessel less hopelessly deteriorated...

Does anybody remember what she was?

Looks like one of the 50ft MFVs the Royal Navy used to have for carrying men and small stores around the harbour.

I remember using the RN ferry service between HMS Dolphin and HMS Vernon when I was training at Dolphin and living in married quarters at Hilsea during the 1950s. That used an MFV.
