First post so hope you guys can help out. I have a Yamaha 40HP (about 1970's) to which i fitted Dolefin foils. I now get the water being thrown into the back of the boat over the transom at any sort of speed.
Shall i dump the fins?? I have tried the trim adjustment but it makes no difference.
Any ideas what is going wrong/

Many thanks

Freddy

Welcome.
Your problem sounds weird, as if something very simple is very wrong.
I've used these "fins" on a couple of boats in the past but never had a problem with them except when travelling slowly with a sea coming from astern. In that situation both boats (semi displacement hulls) wandered off course far more than without the fins.
If you don't get much response here then I'd re-post the question on the MoBo section.

Has the height of the engine changed, or position of fins slipped? Or, have you changed the trim of the hull by adding or removing something heavy ?

Not on upside down are they? Since they push water downwards and thereby lift the back of the boat to correct trim, it would explain your problem.
