Well the day finally came, and we had our handover day from 'Pipedreams Previous Keeper'.

Here we are Kids n All ready to go.

He expertly drove her out of Sparkes, and immediately offered me the helm! Not too hard at first, was my initial thought..............save for a bit of low speed zig zagging everytime we crossed another boats wake.

Quickly we were heading towards the old forts, ( I said Forts!!), at a very comfortable 25 knots or so.
Rob was cool calm and very encouraging on our first journey, and even let me take her right up to the temp moring at East Cowes.

Tied her up and couldnt resist a photo............what a cracking looking boat, when the sun shines, even if I do say so myself!!

Lunch and all the kids messing around was over, we were off again...............(Sorry to anyone whos lunch was ruined by 5 noisy BOYS!!)...................New skipper forgot the fenders, and had to stop having just got back on the plain, lesson quickly learnt.

A Quick anchorage, in Osbourne Bay, created another first, a great experience and definately one for a kiddie free weekend /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
We were joined by a fantastic Squadron owned by a regular on here, who rafted alongside our anchorage, temporarily blotting out the sun with a huge boat indeed. Nice to meet you Graham! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Looking forward to meeting you again soon!

Forgot to add..............Bloody anchor packed up...........Rob wound it in like a goodun..............first trip..............first breakage!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

On the way back 3100 rpm and The 'Tigress' was catching up fast....................Rob suggested a quick blast up to 3900 RPM, and quickly she was catching no more, a clean hull, and new anti foul gave us 35.8 knots /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The kids all had a quick go at avoiding the lobster pots too, loving everyminute of the boating experience..............all three of ours cant wait till next weekend..............Wifey Maggs loved it too, driving Pipedream was a great experience, and she took her safely back into Sparkes under Robs experienced guidence.

Hi Jason,

Sorry we missed you and Rob on your first day out, we were with Derek and the Tigress earlier in the morning but rushed off to Port Solent to switch my VHF set, so missed meeting up.

What a great day to get some nice pics too! 'Pipedream' is a cracking looking boat with plenty of go when you need it. I'm sure the windlass was just lack of use so don't worry too much.

Look forward to seeing you down at Sparkes.

Enjoy the boat! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Cheers guys, thanks for your thoughts.............Bloody topless! Your having a laugh! Under closer scrutiny I can see why you'd think that! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Down again at the weekend, and Yes its staying at Sparkes.

Stupid question..........If a theoretical child..........took a theoretical p155 whilst out at sea, with the sea cocks closed........where would the theoretical p155 have ended up???

Wondered because there was a little bit of yellowy coloured something in thw forward section bilge! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

My son tells me that one of his new mates from the weekend may have commited said sin!!!

Help /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

either in the theoretical holding tank, or will still be in the outlet pipe until the sea cock is open again. if it's anything like my boat the outlet pipe goes for miles before it exits.

have fun in your new toy, looks great.

Heads outlet pipe on the T37 isn't particularly long; maybe 4ft? Most of the T37's I've seen had the Jabsco electric conversion of the manual toilet; I guess what could have happened is that if the electric toilet has been run with the seacock closed, isn't there a risk that doing this pressurises the outlet pipe, which in turn could cause the content to leak into the bilge?

Cheers

No holding tank, either theiretical or real............Rob assures me that it cant be yellow stuff, but its not a surprise to get the odd bit of fresh water type stuff in the forwrd bilge, especially as she has a new high powered water pump.... Ill mop up at the weekend, and keep an eye. Didnt fancy tasting the yellow stuff though!!!

Nice boat, congrats.
It just seems a bit smokey in the 1st pic.
Was it the genny or the engine running?

Congrats on the new boat - she looks fab. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The one thing that seems to be missing is a Forum Flag. PM hlb and he can advise how to get one. It will look great on your boat!!

Smoky? You can still see the pontoon, and the boat in front. Unlike if I start the KAD32's on a cool day...
