Was on a very flash catamaran yesterday admiring all the electronic wizardry. But his chart plotter insisted that his boat was tied up about 300 yards away - in the customs office of the marina to be more precise. After a bit of probing and prodding, it turns out that Mister Flash Cat thinks that because he is in European waters, he should be using the Western European Chart Datum in the GPS. Told him to change it to WGS1984. His cat is now correctly positioned on H pontoon and he feels a whole lot happier about entering a port in thick fog.
