Once in the med where do you go

The last place I woud go is Almerimar it looks like a concrete jungle with empty concrete flats about 4 to5 stories high. plus the is no security gate.

We wintered there but didn't stay aboard. There seems to be a good over wintering community but hard to get to and barking dogs in the flats were depressing. Nothing to do unless you can escape by car. Cartagena was our original idea, and we should have gone there though it's quite a small town. Real club was pretty cheap when we eventually arrived (€15 a night for 11m in May).

i went on a sailing holidays 2 weeks sail around skopolus and the other close islands i dont care to remember in aug 2015. NEVER again. i found the treatment of dogs and especially cats absolutley shocking. Also our sailing holidays crew were incompitent kids. the islands all looked the same, bland and the villages were like something out of The Hills Have Eyes
