I have been giving some thought recently to the advantage of expanding our fleet into something for use on our local inland waterways or estuaries..... something like a clinker style launch with a small inboard diesel... soemthing with a bit of class to go for a potter and picnic with the wife dressed in a frock and wearing a hat... Maybe a canopy over top, and a lots of nice varnish and a big ensign off the back.......

Maybe something like this...

this looks nice...

I am thinking composite or GRP, for low maintanence, plus a trailer, bout say 16-18 feet long.....

Any suggestions or ideas, in particular any good places to look for used ones or small UK builders....

We live 1/4 mile from the Trent, and have boat yard at the bottom of the hill, seems a shame not to be able to potter around at short notice with a bottle of Fizz and some sandwiches wot.

Could also make a nice tender or dayboat on the coast as well!

PS; Price is a issue.....

Photodog - there is something nasty tucked inside your photo.
My 'puter freaked out after I opened it ...........

Had to close it down....Avast went ape sh*t .....

For information.

Funny that, works fine here, its a link into a fairly reputable boat dealers site.....

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

Does your system show which of the pics is carrying the trojan. My system is locked down, so isn't showing the trojan at all, but would like to open it in a sandbox. First pic doesn't show, so that is immediate culprit

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

My system asked if I wanted to run a Java application that had been verified . . . didn't say what had verified it though so I declined.

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

I just clicked on the link and it opened successfully, took a peep then clicked on the first or might have been the second picture below the main one a Voila - TROJAN.DIALER and my firewall stated it had deleted it from my system!

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

Digging into my quarentine, I find the following file name:

jar_cache38234.tmp Dialer.Trojan c\document\admin~1\local~1\Temp 17/2/2008 01:17:11 Virus Not sumbitted to Symantic.

Interestingly, I went back into the file that is causing the trouble and I can access all the photographs starting on the right hand side and working back to the left BUT the final picture on the left is not visible to me at all. My mouse cursor remains an arrow whereas with all the others it changes to a 'hand'??

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

I've opened the link in an unpatched browser in a sandbox, and no trojan is showing, despite clicking on every link and pic on the page, and nothing showing in the source code either. Are you still getting the same message?

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

my avg just blocked it, shows up as trojan.

Brendan if I empty the virus vault will it get rid of it.

Re: WARNING! The file is carrying a Trojan !! WARNING!

Im sorry I cant edit that link, its time expired....

Brendan, is there actually something there or not?

Nothing has come up on my computer....using CA BTW.

If there is something there then I will email CJ marine... which I thought was a reputable company!
