NW Chapter

Nice to meet you and Bev at the weekend, you seemed to be settling into my old berth quite nicely :)

Thanks Phil. Good to meet you and Kwackers!

Looking forward to this year even more :). Shame work is getting in the way of the next few weekends.

I must say that Port Dinorwic is looking positive. The service given by Dave was superb. The marina facilities are fine for our needs and considerably better than we had on the piles at Pwllheli for the same money:) Three pubs within crawling distance, friendly berth holders (so far:)

The natives seem friendly although Kwackers was asking how many tea bags I had on board?

That's OK, but watch out when he gets off the wagon again, the stakes will go up.

It's time to start worrying when he stops asking how many tea bags you have on board. I'd recommend storing any bottles of grog in different places on board, rather than all together. At least that way you have a bit of a fighting chance of keeping a drop for yourself ;)

I wouldn't be too sure of that. I would put money on Kwackers having a better nose than a customs ratter.

No chance, he's a smoker. But he's brilliant at finding booze by braille. :D

:D:D

Rummaging our boats hidden bilges and cavities would probably retrieve a couple of corks, a bottle or 3 of water and an 8mm washer that rolled out of reach when I last fixed the BOG....

Ship's stores need a serious review this wekend.:D

Whats the best Lidl deal on malts at the moment?:)

I like Aldi's Highland Earl, it's only a blend, but it is a nice one, very like my favourite, Ballantine's, which is very difficult to buy in the UK. Plenty good enough to drink with just a little water to bring out the flavours & cheap enough to not stress about visitors who put mixers with it.
