Did you get on ok? I saw you leave Conwy and heard you had an encounter with Prince Madog on the VHF.

Not much wind this morning but by the afternoon we had 20 knots!

Yeh, thought I'd give Him a shout, case we got rammed!:D
My First Mate today is soon to become a 'raggie whatsit' it seems so we were discussing sailing winds/conditions etc, as it appens and yep it did pick up nicely for you guys later:)

Hah! beat him by a day - we moved in on Saturday :)

We are, though, teetotal methodists who won't have a drop of alcohol on the boat. No siree. Not a drop.....

Andy;)

They are the worst sort once they give up the pledge.. I should know I married one:D

We missed all the action this weekend. Friday night spent in Mermaids cove on two anchors to be sure to be sure! 2 CQRs

Saturday back in Viccy dock for a brilliant meal in Stones Bistro (highly recomended) This was followed by a drink and a warm welcome at the Royal Welsh.

Sunday through the bridges (First time for at least 25 years:eek: nothings changed much still made the arse twitch a bit!)

Monday round Puffin and we get Tamsin back to PD pushing the tide an hour and half before slack . Methinks not a good idea if it were springs!:)

I cant think why I every thought Pwllheli was a good place to stay.

Mind you I managed to ground big style in Viccy Dock There is a big mud bank opposite the HM office near the hammer head. Same council same lack of expenditure on dredging:rolleyes:

With a little help from my friends!

It was a bright sunny morning on the Conwy river and at 08.30 we were picked up by the redoubtable Kwackers

Although it was sunny it was not very warm as yet!

After a certain amount of pumping bilge and playing with string we set off alongside as far as The Beacons and then transferred to an ahead tow

Ireland2011050.jpg

In time we raised Puffin Island

Where we ducked inside and shortly after Prince Madog snuck up on us

Leaving Puffin behind

We moved in to the moody looking Straits

Where Jack taught uncle Mike how to helm

and headed down towards The Swellies

and shortly after emerging met the welcoming committee

Kwackers tries a curious move...

in order to blag a cup of tea!

After parking by the council estate and waiting for water we went for a blast in the RIB

When the tide served we headed into the lock

More to follow when she's lifted and the refurb begins!

Many thanks to all who helped!

Great photos - not a bad day by the look of it. If it was anything like the Saturday it was bleedin' freezing though!

See you all soon

Err... and about this boat warming thing......
