UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary:
1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One slight reduction of depth east of the Thames Barrier. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth east of the NE Cross Sand cardinal buoy. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
3. ENGLAND - South East Coast - Drying heights. Depths. - This Notice is updating relevant local SCC in and around the Goodwin Sands. The original Notice is 1285 from week 15 for the relevant SN charts and is identical.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Works. - Works in progress until mid October at the Calor Gas Terminal in the Sea Reach, River Thames east of the Hole Haven.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. At 9.3m, unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
6. ENGLAND - East Coast - Obstruction. - One new ‘obstn’ on the eastern tail of the Nore Sand in Sea Reach, River Thames. Not a suitable place to anchor!

1. Harwich Haven Channel Deepening Project: Plough / Bed levelling Tug Operations – Assister (update 1) - From around 11/04/23, the Subsea Construction Vessel, Assister (IMO: 9193783), which is currently carrying out plough / bed-levelling operations in areas G and H of the Deep-Water Channel will also on occasions, be working in the Harwich Haven (areas A and B1) - see diagrams in the above quoted page selecting the Local List. Due to the nature of the rigging and towing arrangements, vessels should not come alongside the Assister during bed-levelling operations. The dredging contractor is the Van Oord / Boskalis Westminster Joint Venture appointed by Harwich Haven Authority to carry out the Harwich Haven Channel Deepening Project. For detailed information regarding the location of the dredging plant, please contact Harwich VTS (VHF 71) or listen to the daily Channel Deepening VHF broadcasts (VHF 11).
2. Ipswich - River Orwell - NAVIGATIONAL CHANNEL YACHT ENCROACHMENT - Recent reports from commercial shipping have reported 3 yachts encroaching the Ipswich navigational channel between No4 buoy and Fox’s buoy. Mariners are requested to be vigilant and keep a safe distance especially during night time transits and restricted visibility a separate notice to mariner will be issued upon the yachts being repositioned. Mariners are advised to keep a wide berth from these vessels during dredging operations and maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch. 68. 3. Piling Operations at Fambridge Yacht Haven - INFORMATION - Piling Operations are scheduled to commence within Fambridge Marina on the 17th April 2023. The work is expected to take between 5-8 weeks. For additional information please contact: Fambridge Yacht Haven Tel 01621 740370
4. Blakeney Harbour - Hjordis East Marker - Updated - The harbour entrance channel has moved further east and the Hjordis East marker is therefore no longer required and will not be relaid. The wreck of the Hjordis lies 250 metres west of the harbour entrance channel. The isolated danger beacon remains in place on the wreck and all vessels should maintain a safe distance from the beacon. Hjordis wreck isolated danger beacon latitude and longitude: N 52° 59.018’ E 000° 58.144’ Hjordis wreck isolated danger beacon light sequence: Fl(2) 5. Please continue to follow the channel marked by green spar buoys numbered 1, 3, and 5 to navigate beyond the bar. Do not attempt to cross the bar more than 3 hours before high water or more than 3 hours after high water. 5. Ramsgate Royal Habour - Dredging Campaing - Mariners are advised that the Water Injection Dredger ‘Borr’ will be undertaking a dredging campaign in the Royal Harbour and Commercial Port, commencing April 21st, for 12 days.
The dredger will be monitoring VHF Ch.14 Vessels are requested to pass at low speed.
