You aren't going to be driving on the limit so don't worry about choosing a car on the basis of performance. I would give the Nissan a miss on the basis it flatters a bad driver but is as dull as ditchwater.

The Porsche would be fun but if you're anything like me you'll already have loads of them hanging around the garage.

The 360 is quite an interesting car if you're driving a race car on a race track. Doesn't give much notice when you're in the near room to death and easy compared to a race Porsche in that Michael Schumacher's feet pop out and deal with the pedals every time you change gear.

The Lambo is a very tempting choice on the basis you'll never own one, who wants the bills and everyone thinks you're sad because when you own a Lambo there is some law that says you have to park in hotel's no parking zones, disabled spaces & so on. Look at me everyone I've got a Lamborghini but no genitals or personality.

The 355, good in it's day but time has moved on and there's better stuff on the list.

Aston Martin. If you were touring for the weekend a fun choice. Rock up at some country house hotel and convince yourself you're nobility. Oh, pass on the V8 cause they're horrid.

Audi. Did you say you were using it to go to work? No, didn't think so. Why is that on the list? Audi A3 but better looking. If they are going to let you switch the traction Lcontrol off and hang the back end out then have a go because it's very well balanced but to normal for a quick experience.

Lambo because you'll never get another chance. Porsche because it is the car all others are judged by.

Henry :)

V8 horrid!!!!!! Having had a 911 prior to my current V8 ( and tracked both ) I know which one I'd prefer to drive. But then I'm biased (bit like Henry)

360 especially if F1 ( paddle shift) redlines up to 9000 rpm and various " nannies" will keep you straight so to speak .
As confidence improves then you can start turning them off in sensible increments .
Start with pressing "Sport" this speeds up the gear changers to - its done as you think - feels telepathic .Also changers the electronic rear diff allows power slides if you want , but "nanny" is still there in the backgroud to step in in extremis.
Nutter setting -as Henry eludes turn the ASR off (handbook in bold red font says words to the effect "you risk death and and should only turn ASR off on a circuit not public road" .A huge red light comes on in the centre of the dash to remind you .
M Schumaker helped with the set up .
Normal "punter setting" is fine nanny (that Micheal set up ) is the default at start up .You can light/smoke the rear tyres in 3rd @ 90mph if you floor it on a dry road -nanny keeps you on the road -From an Alpha you will enjoy a 360 driven as they were designed to be. 400BHP in 1350 Kg perfect combination to play with.Any more BHP then" nanny "will be busy driving the car for you?
Re 911,s i have to say on a circuit they are Pigs laws or physics all wrong and it shows Ferrari 360 is better balanced -feels right.
Not had the others so -no comment

Presumably Fen End is the old Honiley RAF airfield ? It's years since I have been around there. Lived in Kenilworth for over twenty years and favorite watering hole was the Virgins and Castle in the High Street. Oh dear now getting all remenisant, had better shut up !!

I can certainly vouch for that, if I still had my grp4 escort bda it would worth as much as my boat!

You can't have much more fun than in the forests going sideways!

Aaaaaah Gp4 RS2 bda lump what an engine - I had a Safety Devices shell number 072, fully turreted, etc, etc, there was nothing like the feeling of flying through the forest, those were the days, what a simple but great car......! Until those blooming Quattro's and Stratos' came out.... I was one of those that said give me an RS2 any day, the Quattro's would never get the power down.....Whoops!

Porker for me... probably the fastest car in the line up. Will start first time without a Novena to the key... like you'd do for a Fazzazz...

Porsche... the measure for sport cars.:D

Great stuff.

A tad on the moist side by the look of things. A shame because you end up lifting off and balancing rather than planting your foot into the shag pile and dealing with whatever comes your way :)

So are you tempted to place an order then ?

Did the wet make it more enjoyable?

it did actually Chris. overtook a few other cars on the straights and only 'nearly' lost the back end once on the corners. the instructor was great letting me got at it more than the safety brief allowed. The passenger experience with a proper driver was something else though which drove it home that I wasn't pushing the car to its limit by any stretch of the imagination. A thoroughly enjoyable experience

most certainly yes but availability of spare coffers will dictate that one and at present, I don't have many whilst helping Deb get her business started, just my meager wage to live on ;) couple of years and the BM will go in return for something a little more exciting I reckon. That and a motorbike will confirm absolute, the mid life crisis :)

Scuse my ignorance but which car is that?

You look like you are having a good time, but sadly failing to observe The Doors' dictum "keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel" [Roadhouse Blues] :D
