You shouldn't laugh!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's very unkind of you. That poor, poor skipper. He deserves all our sympathy and understanding, not mocking laught

Oh the hell with it. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Good heavens no. It's only the flashy, vulgar, ugly willy extensions I don't like. I'd love a more traditional motor boat.

Me too ,no time for flashy gin palaces owned by people who think polished stainless steel anchors are cool.

(Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha - sorry, couldn't hold it any longer!)

There really are some prize coqs on here.

And the yacht following just manages to bear away to port in enough time to miss the same fate - tee hee, how amusing:D
There again, maybe the broken long thing might have landed on somebody...

so, to those who find it funny.
If you see a car crash do you also laugh, or only when its a jag, merc or porsche?

Oh, the more expensive the better, undoubtedly. We used to have a family competition to see who could spot the first accident-damaged new registration car after 1st August. The all-time winder was a written-off BMW at 10am on its first day.

Here, for those who enjoy such things, is someone discovering that a million pounds does not buy you amphibious capabilities.

Anyone who ranks cot death alongside an incompetent skipper bumping a boat into a bridge might do well to review his or her priorities.

I am grateful to the forum for its remarkable, 'at no extra charge' Heads Up. Those who laugh 'at' rather than 'along with' and all that goes with that.

I suppose it might even save time, effort, libations, when given the chance encounter in the real world to help someone.

Funny ol place sometimes, to me!

The poor mobo driver managed to make his cock up in front of a massive audience and of course at least one person with a mobile phone to film him with. I am glad most of my cock ups were made well out of the way (mostly to do with the nature of the sailing I do). Most of my cock ups were also sensibly made before some bugger gave video capacity to any youth with pockets, and a internet upon which to spread the grim film.

The skipper kept his cool after an initial miscalculation and didn't get panicked into gunning his engines in an attempt to perform some heroic maneuver risking the life and limb of folk coming far too close in their little moboats, or of the many spectators on the shore. The end result was a bit of crunched fiberglass, scuffed gelcoat and nothing more.

The video is a bit of a laugh and the skipper deserves full marks for keeping it so. He will no doubt enjoy telling the story himself in a day or two!

I tell my pupils that when he they laugh at someone rather than with them, it says more about them than the person they are laughing at.
However it was quite funny

I just find it really sad that people on a boating forum find that video the slightest bit 'funny'.

Particularly those that would have no idea how to drive a large motorboat.

Bizarre.....

+1 perhaps they should go over to the motorboat forum and show ther amusement diectly to the skipper who is posting there. He sounds big enough to take it on the chin, but probably not seeing it as particulary amusing.
