The C80 is the dogs preverbials! I cannot see the point of an E80 unless you are planning to have more than one screen, then it is excellent. or if you have other inputs such as video from a camera etc.
I was messing about with the MARPA features on the radar last weekend - superb! stick the cursor over a radar 'blip', press a button and a few seconds later I've got the other guys course, speed, time and distance of the closest point of approach!
The radar / chart overlay is good aswell - amazing how many bouys aren't quite where the chart says they are!

Now this is probably a digression too far!
However;- interesting topic and maybe the cue for a new thread (but not from my keyboard).
A reason given for E-series was that you could show radar on two or more screens (helm and table say).
I was told this was not possible for C-series. But it may be possible for the predecessors (RL70 etc).
Any views?
