Without nit-picking Scottie, your spelling of "dissecting" isn't perfect, and there're a few commas and a full stop missing, but it's OK as we're all friends here. ;)

I won't involve my fascist grammarian wife for her opinion, but there is something odd about the comma after "nit-picking" and "Scottie".

Edit: Apologies. My own oddity, now corrected.

While your wife may be obsessive when it comes to correct punctuation and grammar, I doubt that it goes so far that it could reasonably be equated with an ultra-nationalist far right political movement.

Come to Spain we have a whole argument going on in high places about a “tilde” over an O in the word Solo😂

Have been casting envious and longing looks in the direction of the Iberian Peninsula and its Isles ,after some considerable absence.
Three words preventing a trip.
Gatwick.
Luton.
Stanstead.
Three of the inner circles of hell. !

Posting this looking out of the window...............

I should point out that a number of social commentators have begun to focus their attention on Fascist ideology from what we used to regard as the left wing of politics. ; -)

Yes, but people are complex. She is right wing on grammar and school uniforms and not so much on other issues. E.g. she has just been spouting off about the Scots getting a new Prince of Edinburgh (negatively, of course).

I have just been reading a book from the 1930s where the historian asserted that John Knox was "a man to serve as Fuhrer" and Calvin having "affinities with Bolshevism, Fascism and Nazism, especially the last". So it's certainly not a new comment.

Perhaps I amongst others have been guilty of disecting comments and interjecting unnecessary comments my apologies to those to have been affected
