So with so many new owners and marinas full , can you see more bumps and scratches in marinas and in narrow channels.
Yes of course but I think that is part of the experience people make mistakes

You’re making me nervous given that we are on the outside of a hammerhead! Maybe the 4 fenders we leave on the outside should be more...
I am expecting to be able to walk along the Hamble SUP to SUP this year, let alone navigate a boat through the soup of SUPs !
Very sad - no doubt observing covid rules or studying for his powerboat course.a brand new merry fisher turned up at our marina last summer factory fresh by the looks of it 2 massive outboards guy driving didn't have a clue i think he hit every wall and gate getting in and out of the lock and then the spurn light ship and a massive green barge and finally a pontoon end or 2 just getting to his berth which took him half an hour to get into.
boat hasn't moved since i think the experience has put him off for life
Bruce is the only guy i know who owns a pontoon with engines. There’s a narrow channel between a couple of bridges not far away from where I’m sitting
Scratched the odd boat or two there in the past! ?
Noticed though over the last few years
Many more Newbies these days get some training sorted before they take ‘The Plunge’ as it were
If the last few weeks are anything to go by
Enquiries for help and training etc
I think the trend of voluntary training is a good thing
Hold yer hand up if you’ve never scratched a boat
And I’ll call you a little fibber!
One thing I do know
When and where we are all let loose
It’s gonna be a busy one
?
Maybe some controls at last on newbie jetski louts will control the numbers. At least in this country plenty of fenders generally in evidence unlike the shortage in France. Much prefer a few SUPs to the curse of jetski
