I'm getting a bit old to pull on ropes these days, so "proper" sailing is out.
I have just bought a second-hand motor boat built some years ago (see picture).
The radio is made by Marconi, and I'm a bit worried about getting spare parts in the future.
Also - there isn't a fridge, and I am concerned about getting ice-cubes for the G&T.
The radar seems to go round in the right direction, so I'm not worried about hitting anything.
All advice appreciated.

Re: kim?

Can we shove this? Scuttlebutt blew apart for the same reason. Less useful these days. Kim?

Re: kim?

Okay, I tried to do this the polite way but here it is in slightly stronger terms...the wind-up has run its course here. In the interests of those who have genuine posts to make and are inevitably getting caught up in the maelstrom, this thread is suspended. Frankly fed-up with seeing users having to preface their posts with "this is not a wind-up" and references being made to wearing tin hats.

There's a balance to be struck between fun and facts and if the truth be known it has swung the wrong way. So for all of those of you leaning too far to port (or should that be starboard), can half the motley please amble back across the deck to give us some balance?

Thanks in anticipation.
