New Kid on the block - intro

Good Afternoon

I just wanted to post a quick intoroduction (prior to calling for assistance!)

I am pretty new to the sailing scene but would like to myself into it, along with my wife and young son.

I have completed a Comp Crew Course (Dec 07 with the military - Vic 34) and then participated in an trip (Antigua to Rio - Jan 08 - ex BT Global challenge 67) but have not been on the water since - P&O ferries aside.

this is not helped by living in land locked Luxembourg and presently working in Kabul!

I have booked us all on a Comp Crew Course with Hamble Sailing in May so we are all looking forward to that.

hopefully that will be the start of many days on the water - possibly leading us to a boat of our own. We are keen to do the ARC - perhaps in 2012 / 2013.

Well that's it from Kabul at present but looking forward to reading the threads and getting involved.
