Looks cracking
I had a trip round Douglas Bay early this afternoon. You’ll have to bring her down to PSM, I’ll race you back to Douglas
I’ll win ‘cos you’ll run out of petrol at Port Soderick….
Has the helm seat got suspension, I think you'll need it lol. Cracking job, she's a stunner., a real credit to you.![]()
1100 litres……300 miles with reserve
Im reckoning on 45 litres per side at 30 knots so 90 lph total.
Will find out on sea trails ?
I have a Gen 1 Verardo 200 L6 on my boat which is half your weight.
20 knot cruise uses 32 litres/ hour.
At 30 knots it's about 60 litres/hr so you may need to adjust your range estimate a bit.....
Either way you will love the engines, the power delivery is almost instant!!
how much does your boat weigh?
ive got the smart craft app that gives me fuel burn so will find out tomorrow hopefully ?

Top job there. And a world record post count for a thread about sandpaper.
What a machine! Absolute weapon.

performance.
max revs 5900 and 43 knots.
got a picture at 40 knots….fuel burn a touch scary ??

the sweet spot seems to be 4000 rpm…27 knots ish for fuel ( less than I though….just ??) but to be honest….it feels happy at any speed!

engines ran sweet as a nut. Few small niggles to sort but very very impressed. The pickup is unreal! ??
that’s pretty much it for this thread. Thanks so much for joining me on the journey and for all the comments of support. I’m off to burn more petrol ??
Have a look at 24mx.co.uk they do a rapid fill 20l fuel can, I am thinking of getting one myself.I got quite close to 30 knots at 4000 rpm once trimmed out correctly so I reckon £100 an hour.
I can live with that. It’s all the Jerry can trips that’s a pain in the hoop but needs must!
Great photos! Console yourself that if you burn lots of fuel you are having a blast ..
Your WOT seems too low though. Rev range is 5800 to 6400 rpm and lightly loaded you should be nearer to 6400.
What prop are you running with!
I'll swap you, my undersized prop for your oversized one.dunno….what it came with ??
I know it’s a little low but few other things to do first. Flush cooling system with saltaway, change spark plugs, get through old crap fuel etc…
