This company sells by the 1/4 metre and I can recommend them. I bought my exhaust hose from them. Very extensive stock of different hoses.

Buy a metre then you have a spare on the shelf waiting that day when you need to replace the other one. Assuming your boat has 2 engines and is symmetrical in this matter of course.

Doesn't an exhaust hose need an antisiphon loop, how do you engineer an antisiphon loop in 0.5m of hose, any hose let alone exhaust hose.

Not necessarily, depends on the rest of the exhaust arrangement.

It seems somewhat unlikely that the distance from the engine to the exhaust outlet will only consist of 0.5m of 102mm hose. Chances are it will be something like the short section between the silencer and the outlet.

Needed, short length 30 cms x 102mm pipe from engine exhaust riser to the 45 degree exhaust hose elbow.

Already existing , 1.5m of 102mm from elbow to silencer, and a metre of 102mm from silencer to hull exhaust via monster antisiphon loop.

None of my engines have anti-syphon loops ... as Paul says - depends on installation.

Depends if engine is above or below waterline.

I believe Volvo demands an anti siphon loop and the OPs installation HAS an antisiphon loop and he only needs the hose for part of the installation (to complete the loop).

Never known to be wrong, are you ?

I have two Volvo engines, no anti-siphon loops.

If the injection point on the exhaust mixer is above the water line there is no need for a siphon break.
