N.E. Boat Clubs

Hi every one, my wife Chris and I are fairly new to the boating scene. We would like to join a boat club in our area ( Yorkshire Ouse / Tees ) but we only know of the clubs based on the Tees. Ideally the club would have a social side to it as well as the boating, be friendly and not over the top on fees.
Any information gratefully accepted.
