I spent a very pleasant summer there in 1987, working on boats, all very illegally - if that was today, Trump's Goonazis would be on the warpath rounding up and deporting all the folk from the Windies in Newport that summer.

Not our HR. It's hard to get photos of your own boat without messing about in the dinghy!

Ended up here trying to escape the heat further south. It's pretty nice. They have nice taste in boats. The nearby Herreschoff museum is worth a visit.

Haven't noticed The Ark, but they have several Irish pubs to choose between.
