My view a few moment ago. Cabo de Roca the most western point of mainland Europe.
Why pick on the driver who has nothing to do with how the company is run? That's just mau-mauing the the flak-catcher, and achieves nothing except ensuring the next delivery is put in the bin.Amongst all the posts in this thread somewhere I have been talking about my stern thruster.....a quick update.....I tested the batteries and they were bad....ordered new ones....and dhl are just the worse...barely any communication and a week late...I practiced my French to give the driver my heartfelt opinion....when the batteries showed up....in a Post Office van !...you can’t tell off the postman, especially here. So I put it down to another of life’s painful lessons.
I agree.....except sometimes it is the driver....leaving off the distant town because it’s getting close to the end of the day...or pretending they can’t deliver because no one is there just so they can quickly unload at a parcel reception hub...so you have to lug heavy batteries home yourself. Why pick on the driver who has nothing to do with how the company is run? That's just mau-mauing the the flak-catcher, and achieves nothing except ensuring the next delivery is put in the bin.

I don’t know if the brushes have worn....it could be many things....carbon dust...faulty wire...motor winding failing...bearings...plastic bag in the tunnel. Why would the brushes fail after so few hours ( minutes really ) of use?
Does the impeller spin on its bearings and seals ok?
Might as well check the terminals for corrosion throughout, and delivered voltage under load , since you’re going down in the hole anyway.
Isn’t it fun though, working up a thirst before the next sundowner photo

You still get the sundowner whichever route it takes to get thereI don’t know if the brushes have worn....it could be many things....carbon dust...faulty wire...motor winding failing...bearings...plastic bag in the tunnel.
But if I’m going to take it apart I might as well have at least some spares on hand,....given the lead time for delivery. And the brushes are the only consumable
