I know this is going to be hard for you, but you are going to have to post more than 3 sentences here.
What do you want? Post 3 piccies a year to post here? Load your entire holiday album? Long term storage and stable company, or just a few piccies and don't mind if they get lost when company goes bust. Adverts are OK if it's free?
Go on Brendan you know you can do it. NB in the title and give all the know nothings(IT) an insight into posting pictures.
Only cos I feel guilty about abusing Boatones site/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Same conditions apply, See other posts today pointing peeps towards B1's site if they want hosting of a few pics.
Me, I've tried all sorts, and loads of friends who have spent hours uploading pics to free and paid for (or half way house) have seen that uploading wasted as sites close down or consolidate).
Personally, if storage is the primary requirement, get a DVD writer. Cheap as chips these days, as are the media. Don't pretend that on line storage is a long term solution.
If you want to share pictures on forums and long term storage is not an issue, then take any of the freebies.
If something in the middle, upload your piccies to any of the sites which give free storage space, but expect them to consolidate or start charging at some point.
If you want to store pictures for access on line, expect to pay for it (but still back up locally anyway) Smugmugs is my preference. They charge, but space is unlimited, and the features are good. No connection, just use them
Many thanks.Just what I needed.DVD writer it is then.
I will PM you when I cock up it's installation and have burnt the house down/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

One point to note when using free picture hosting sites is that some of them repeatedly change the web address of the pictures making the posting of links a complete waste of time. One example is Yahoo. I've posted pictures there before and put a link on a forum which has worked for an hour or so and then changed to the dreaded empty box with the red cross in the corner. The pictures still exist but the only was to link to them is via the album front page.
Who do you use as your ISP? I'm on Tiscali for my broadband and they give free webspace (50Mb) so I just put any pictures there using a program called WS_FTP which was a free download off the web.
