No explanation. No warnings.

I'm not fussed with some of the goings on here. I expect Graham or someone has been moaning to the mods. So what exactly was wrong with the thread?

Well I would suggest that there was a lot wrong with the thread Lakesailor, you might not have noticed though, an OP advises the forum of her new acquisition then asks for advice and help over a problem (Boaty), then disappears over the sunset, without any response to the many suggestions put her way.:(

Then some offer to start a collection (on here) to help her with the problems ensued with her purchase, and still no response by the OP :(

You must live in a funny ole world Lakesailor if you cannot see ay prob with letting the issue continue.

It / they was pulled as yesterday was a crazy busy day and it would have taken a full day (min) to unravel the mystery and intrigue surrounding all the posts. Add to that we would have had to PM all involved it was felt our time was better used elsewhere. eg trying to get our central traffic dept to remove the Honda ads as they were / are too intrusive on the forum. So yes dealing with threads such as this can and will take us away from more meaningful tasks.

Happy Sat.

good to have some light on the IPC mods' thinking.

Do you still have just the professional mods, or has the poisoned chalice been shared with some of the troops on the ground ?

Just the office based bods, we have faced some security issues with outsiders being US owned....watch this space though.

That is because it was a different thread with a different OP!

The thread started by Graham has been locked at his request.

The thread started by JE has been locked by admin with no explanation.

Ah, yes. I see my mistake now. Apologies.

So again, a complaint from one or two individuals is enough to get a thread locked.

I would like to complain about the abuse I have suffered on the bike thread and also the Global Warming thread. They are far too long to look into so just lock them. Thanks.

Not quite. I already explained that we had too much in to do much about it yesterday. That's the way it goes sometimes. Judging by the replies this weekend I would Imagine it will be looked at again.

Don't shoot the messenger I just came onto here to explain which is what most were asking for.

Richard, can you lock his thread please? Lakey is wasting far too much time on it & hasn't posted any tits or bums for ages . . .

Oh & thanks if you can kill the Honda ads, every time my cursor crosses it, it pops up - despite my blocker.

I am not shooting at you Richard. I think that if you haven't been able to look into the thread a better response would have been , instead of taking a complainer at face value, to look at it on Monday as you suggest.
The one or two complainers get disproportionate weight in these actions. In my humble opinion.

Not that interested in the locked threads but would it be possible to remove the lock from Preston Marina as I might be round that way in the summer and I would have more options if it was accessible all states of the tide?
