Speaking to you lot direct from MF, Bleep, zzzz testing, testing, zzzzzzz.
Cruised down to Looe in glorious sunshine. STOP. Then to Fowey, stopped on the thingy pontoon ac ross the road. Forget the name, but there’s two pubs and a bloke who sells diesel so not all bad. Then to council house pontoon. The tugs brought a lost cruise ship in for shelter. I think they were going to park it along side mucky but I told them to FO cos it would spoil the view!! So they made it drop anchor and tie it’s arse end to some big buoys that us lot never use. So that was ok then. Next to Falmouth and up to the posh marina, only cos it was next door to a dinghy flogging man. Now get this, it’s two point 6 metres long and it’s book says. OK for F6 and 2metre waves, tested in Hamberg no less!! Anyway there was a F678 forcast on the nose from the east, so maybe better to go back to Plymouth in the dinghy!!! Spent two days glueing davit patches on and waiting for drying. I had no faith in the Bostic one part glue. It fell off five minutes after lifting dinghy!! Luckily other lifting points on transome, but a little close to outboard for my liking. Still out was better than crap! Next to Falmouth council house marina. The girl passed by for two days, but was far to lazy to come to us cos we were along side a sort of live aboard thingy with bikes and bits of string poking out every where. Course the minute muck’s engines started up and the warps have been unleashed. She turns up like a bad penny!! Not only that but, remember the thread a while ago, about the coast guards saying go to channel? Then f-all happens. Well anyway, this time they start broadcasting, it’s bloody deafening. Turned the volume down, but makes no difference. Thout MF’s radio was knocked. But then Falmouth radio came on and everything back to normal. Pulled the toilet to bits again and again, getting good at that. The smell is hardly noticeable and Debs has bought up all the disinfectant from Trago Mills. Our shore based weather watcher. LJS. Promised good weather for an early morning trip back to Plymouth. I think he must have been cheating like buggery cos for the very first time in his long maybe over long life. He got it right!!
Now as it happened, when we got back , the tide mysteriously came in, and having nothing better to do, went up river to Calstock. It’s about five years since we last went there. So they made us a new jetty just to attract us back. Some folks made loads of wash on the little river, just cos the HM said 10 knots. So they did!!
