Folks

I heard last night that the mooring fees in Portpatrick and Grivan have increased from around £7 a night for a 24 ft yacht to £15 is there any truth is?

Is that £10.50 to use a buoy in Scotland.

Guess I will be avoiding Portpatrick if I sail northward in a couple of weeks then.

Rip off city.

Hi Jules

Don't avoid Portpatarick as it a great place and is well worth a visit. If the weather is good I will be heading there at the weekend.

That's for a berth within the harbour, against the harbour wall. Nothing to do with bouys! As already said, don't miss out on Portpatrick: it is a lovely little harbour, and the HM couldn't be more helpful. Also on a Friday and Saturday night the place becomes quite lively!
