My marina fees are due in July
The charges have risen every year so expecting the same again.

Comparison of the charges for berthing may be more relevant if the size of the boat is stated .
Also the value for money or otherwise very much depends how much use you get out of the boat.

I expect to use my boat most weekends from start of April to end of September plus some longer weekends and longer holidays thrown in.

So £110 might sound cheap but with insurance added what does that work out divided by hours spent on the boat.
£110 is expensive for a boat that is rarely or never used.

I think you might need to buy a new calculator..... By the way insurance is £270

As I have not presented any calculations I don't understand why you think I need to buy a new calculator .

If you think that there is anyway in the world that £110 a year could be expensive for a mooring. No matter what the length of boat.

For your information with these moorings length does not come into it. They are £110 no matter how long (within reason) your boat. There are certainly 40 footers on these moorings.

@Bigplumbs I'd certainly appreciate your pointing me in the right direction.

Google is your friend and a little history of one on the Deben here. Another here

Whilst you do see some mobos on swing moorings mid-river most are yachts and you won’t see many boats of the type you are thinking of on them. There is a reason for that - having a walk ashore serviced pontoon mooring is a world of difference from a dinghy ride out to your boat with no services and a power hungry mobo likes to have shore power.

Not saying it isn’t doable and it is obviously worth considering if you are working to a budget but having kept our day sailer on a swing mooring I wouldn’t want to keep the Hardy on one. Absolutely lovely for a night or two but not permanently. Each to their own of course.😁
