Any recommendations for sail laundering and minor repairs in the solent area...?

You are spoilt for choice. Most sailmakers will do repairs. Your challenge will be finding one that can do it at this time of year.

In addition to the sail makers you might try Covercare ( located in Thornham Marina) who do sail repairs at £42/hour and can arrange sail cleaning at £4.95/kg. (They are one of Tip Top Sail Laundry's "partners")
