Metric units post Brexit

I hesitate to be the first to respond, I am a foreigner and maybe in the true spirit of brexit this is for the Brits to decide without outside influence.
Nevertheless, can I propose the Boris, as a measure of truthfulness, or rather the lack of it. Like all SI units it can be scaled: from a microBoris (a small lie) over a Boris (a plain lie) to a kiloBoris (a big lie) and even a megaBoris or a teraBoris.
And i suppose a huge loan would be a Corbyn
the interest payments would be in Abbots

I think tools running the country is the problem. But is an imperial tool worse than a metric tool?

Boris and Farage are definitely tools in what ever currency you choose to measure them

How about using a Manometer to measure Camerons?

A total Cameron being 29.92 on a bourdon guage, or in modern units maybe a Torr for a complete Cameron vacuum might be appropriate?

The lunatics are completely out of control. Johnson is so terrified of Farage and his doddering tweedy stormtroopers that he will do precisely what they want.

I think horrible realisation may be dawning. In two weeks we have gone from "Those European johnnies will jolly well do what we tell them " to "Pleeeeeeease, Mrs Merkel, pleeeeeeeeeeeease renegotiate."

We should do the decent thing and be bilingual.

Everybody knows what 3m of 4” x 2” is.

yes but only because 3m is shorter than 10 feet ( by a few inches)

so after Brexit will 3m become 10 real feet....

Interesting that British pubs in Gibraltar the great bastion of Britishness sell pints that fit in 500mm glasses whilst insisting on payment in full sized Pounds...

Surely we should replace the old MKS system with something more tradition. I propose the FFS system using furlongs, fortnights, and slugs.

It's all quite simple; the acceleration due to gravity is about 7.133*10^10 furlongs per square fortnight.

Why do I get the feeling that I have stumbled into the Lounge? As long as boats continue to be sold in feet I will be content.

You're confused. This is not the Lounge, it's the Saloon. ;)

As long as boats continue to be sold in feet I will be content.

No chance. Referring to boats by their length is a fad that has had its day. We'll be reverting to Thames Measurement. ;)
