Beating of the bounds for The Rochester Oyster and Floating Fishery in conjunction with Rochester Cruising Club this weekend.
Saturday starts with the Fishermans Court held in Rochester Guildhall.
Then upstream to the the Hawkwood Stone followed on Sunday downstream to Garrison Point.
Lunch and refreshments in Queenborough Harbour.
The Admirals Barge will either be firing a Cannon or dipping an Ensign at all clubs/ marinas, boatyards and maritime organisations that we pass.
We are hoping to be joined by one or both of the Sheerness lifeboats and to be treated to a fire pump display by one of the SVITZER tugs, provided they are all free at the time.
Groups from the RNA and MSBA will be bringing craft along to join the cruise along with representitives of Chatham Historic Dockyard and The Bridge Trust along with the Sea cadets on the MVA boat, PATRIOT.
There will be a wreath laying ceremony an the site of the HMS Bulwark and a sunset ceremony at the end of the day.

Also on the Sunday MYC and the Wilsonian SC are holding events, we have mutually agreed to do our very best to avoid each other.

Flaming July. ? What could possibly go wrong. Possibly the weather ?
The Fishermans Court has been held for nearly 500 years without break, despite two world wars and only prevented by Covid.
Once held in a lighter or barge, now held in the more civilised surroundings of Rochester Guildhall.
Saturday starts here at 10.00 sharp.

The weekend ends on the Sunday here , for "refreshments" at QueenBorough Harbour on the ATL we have somewhere aboard 3 Mayors , Medway, Queenborough and Maidstone.
A choice of weather.

Over the two days we cruise to both ends of the Admirals domain ,upstream to the Hawkwood Stone towards Maidstone and then downstream to Garrison Pt at Sheerness.
If you were any sort of boaty organisation on the Mudway be it club (even sailing Clubs) boatyard or Posh Marina we would have dipped our ensign or for really important peeps fired a cannon at you.
Thanks for all / any response......... appeciated.
Thanks to both sailing clubs who were also holding events on Sunday, our respective events competed without conflict for once
Many other people contributed to the success of weekend to detail but especial thanks to the RNA, the MVS the Seacadets and Officers not forgetting our Bugler and our Piper.
:)

The Mayor and his good lady. Thanks to Red2Red Ribs for distributing the pennants and for giving the Mayor and Mayoress a quick whizz round.
Their job is reminding errant PWC skippers that there are speed limits on the Mudway.
When not otherwise engaged they offer fast rib experiences to the general public.
