All these lovely photos (especially from Bouba) make me long to be back on the boat.
This is the best I can do:-
Just look at that sky - wall to wall sunshine.
Even the marina looks inviting - and you can just see the swimming pool on the right, next to JW's port dome.
And the Sant Carles town bathed in the sun.
Frustrating.

It’s been p1ssing down in Altea this morning.

Ridiculously hot day and now evening. Also breezy and more worryingly there are five water bombing planes flying over our house. Hopefully it’s just for a display to commemorate the Débarquement

Finally got to the boat this week. Had it lifted for anti fouling today. It hasn't moved for 10 months so it was pretty crusty. Hopefully should be done by Saturday. Then some sea fun !

I’ve had them come that close. I think most people see them quite regularly in the CdA, either practicing or putting on a display. They are always impressive, a real show of close formation. But this time, here and in your picture, it’s all for real. Nine planes, helicopters and over a thousand firefighters

Apparently Empuriabrava is more manic than usual this August. I hope they all go away as usual for my Sept trip.

We popped up to Peniscola yesterday, beaches were rammed full and as crowded as ever, quick lunch and return to the peace and tranquillity of Sant Carles….!
