We used Imed a couple of weeks ago - in and out in 4 minutes, results on phone within 30 minutes. We were in Torrevieja - not one in Altea but not far if you have a car - About us | Polyclinic IMED Torrevieja Vega Baja | Group IMED Hospitals: Hospital IMED Elche, Hospital IMED Levante
Laboratories Gonzalez in Denia also do rapid Antigen tests (probably a bit closer to Altea than Torravieja?). I would have thought there must also be places in Javea/Moraira given the high nunbers of brit expat/holiday home owners in those areas?

Fake a - ve ?
Or was it really a - ve RAT , a few hrs later when home ( 24/48 ) then a + ve PCR ?
That’s the point re U.K. and somewhat Italian quarantine rules , they pick up false negative RAT s within the time period(s).

Any how Deltas running its course , the more unvaxed mix the faster it runs .
Some kids felt unwell while on holiday in Costa Brava (not Barcelona as I had thought) and got tested at the hospital where they were found to be positive to Covid.

This was an organised charter holiday of about 120 youths in the 16 to 18 region going for a party party in the Costa Brava
Young Belgians who were on holiday partying in the Costa Brava, Spain, have tested positive for the coronavirus. However, some of them managed to board the plane by taking advantage of a loophole in the system.
About 20 Belgian youths who were on vacation with the Jongerentravel youth travel organization tested positive for a PCR test. It was conducted at official Spanish test centers, Catherine Korenz of Jongerentravel said.

Despite the positive test, some of them managed to enter the plane using a vulnerability in the system. This is because Belgians returning from the so-called red zone (the country where the epidemic is bad – each country can create their own list) only need to submit a Passenger Location Form (PLF) upon arrival.

People without a COVID certificate must be tested upon return to Belgium and remain in quarantine until they receive a negative test result. Therefore, airlines do not require a negative PCR test for Belgians who wish to return to their country.

More here: Belgium. They contracted the coronavirus in Spain but got into the plane using a vulnerability in the system (randrlife.co.uk)

Class action law suit brewing up against Belgium Gov me thinks from innocent Covid contractors harmed on the flight(s) .
Pity the EU are unable to unify Covid secure travel in the EU .

Suppose it’s tells us airline cabin filters are carp and indeed even mask wearing by participating guinea pigs , sorry other passengers :) , Freudian slip,- do apologise, did a fat lot of good , those kids passed it on .
Told ya all waaaaaay back flying could be literally the “kiss of death “ .Roll the dice if you choose.

How weird that it comes and goes. I'm hoping to get out there soon so we'll take a look (it's does always look a bit of a rocky area)!
Very easy to miss, even when it was twice the size it is now we passed by without even seeing it for more than a year. Yesterday was the first time time we’ve seen it in over 2 years. Hopefully going back for a longer visit tomorrow.

Rumours here in France that it will not.
U.K. Gov are ring twitching over Frances apparent rise in Beta .Remember that one ? The South African. This Beta can massively defeat the current vax .
They are hoping ironically that the Delta displaces it .Other countries with high to dominate Beta have been red listed thus far .

Spending the next few weeks until the next planned ( or worse still unplanned ) committee announcement , which are 3 weekly .
So early August maybe .
The issues are complex as think of the X Chunnel lorry drivers and reflect back to January, which was a brexit thing a la Macron .
Next time it might be U.K. gov , same disruption effect but due to Beta …..enhanced testing or what have you ?

Its all up in the air at the mo :) .Let’s hope Delta dominates pushes Frances Beta down .

So in a nutshell France has a rising Beta issue right now .

The message from a local news service this morning:

Delta variant - Fears of a 4th wave of the pandemic in France are growing as the delta variant continues to sweep across the country and the government urges the public to get vaccinated. Numbers of cases are almost doubling every two weeks although hospital ICU occupancy remains relatively low at 18 percent. Locally , the under 30s are the most at risk of becoming infected with figures from the Alpes Maritimes showing a surge of 165 percent in positive tests for the 20 to 29 year old age group. Millions of people across the country are registering for vaccination before the first phase of the government’s health pass regulations come into force. From June 21st , anyone wishing to enter a cinema or theatre will have to produce a valid QR code showing double vaccination or a negative PCR taken in the previous 48 hours before being admitted. From the start of August , use of the pass will be extended to shops , bars , restaurants and other commercial enterprises.

Iberian PCR - Non vaccinated French nationals and others coming into the country from Spain and Portugal will have to show a negative PCR of not more than 24 hours old before being allowed in from this weekend. The French European Affairs Minister Clement Beaune says that people returning will not have to isolate but the PCR test will be mandatory as cases of the virus spiral on the Iberian Peninsula.

Can you bring a Volvo mechanic? My boat is stuck out of the water as I have had a hydraulic manifold fail and the drive is off waiting for the part and mechanic. ????

I’ve never heard Riviera Radio held in such high esteem! I’m finging it tougher and tougher to listen to it in the mornings with Rob’s rants.

I gave up listening a long time ago … too many rants about nothing and they still haven’t discovered any music made after the 80s ?

Online news is mostly English translations of BFM and others, so not too bad.

Bloody hell RR is still going, we used to listen for a laugh 10 years ago, my bet is the playlist hasn't changed.
