Meaningful 200k post?

Why would we want to have a meaningful 200k post? I dunno ...

But just to ponder ... how about a dicussion on boat draft ...
ours is 6' ... can be a pain at times, but does it sail better than a 4' (boat length is 30')

As a newbie this is probably a really daft (hypothetical) question, but here goes..

For the purposes of an ocean crossing , if it were physically possible, what would be the optimum draft...

Taking your length of 30' as a standard,,, and 6' as a reasonable draft..
would a draft of 10' be better.. (or worse)
or 20' be better (or worse)... (apart from finding a mooring once you got there before the smart ar$es chip in..)
