Hey all,

Looking for some info if possible.

Ive got garmin plotter and AIS is working fine via the ha102.

What I want to do though is share the GPS info to the VHF though so the AIS and VHF share the antenna plugged into the ha102. Has anyone figured out the wires for a second 0183 channel on the ha-102.

Thanks

Looking online - see attached.

The GPS output is separate to the AIS output ... so surely just the Green and black wires will do the job ?

No dice, tried that.

Don't think icom m421 can change the baud rate and don't see a way to change in matsutec software the output?

You could if no other way - use a plexor ... such as the NMEA4Wifi unit ... that takes in data and then feeds out in NMEA / WiFi etc. giving you a data centre on board ?

Certainly cheaper than other units ... but designed by a boater for on board use.

NMEA4WIFI - 4 x INPUT NMEA 0183 WIFI MULTIPLEXER WITH SEATALK1 INPUT | eBay

I have the older NMEA2WiFi unit and I hionestkly say - its absolutely magic ... the data - GPS / AIS and even boosted external WiFi is available to all my gear and to any guest who logs in or plugs in ...

I don't say it will cure your problem ... but it seems most likely ... and anyway - the increased data connections ??

Considering that type of thing yes.

I'm not convinced the matsutec wiring is as they tell you in the manual tbh.

According to standard ... you can test any wire combo except power wires of course and not damage gear. Number of times I have just tried combos of wires on items to get working ...
I tried couple diff wires yesterday and the MOB alarm went off so coastguard called. I phoned them and let them know not in distress. I'm not sure playing with the wires done it or accidently pressed the button whilst moving it
