I hate to mona but after buying three different lots of teak faced marineply from Robins (The ROls Royce of marineply suppliers) I have fouind the quality to be terrible. There are voids everywhere. This is the expensive stuff at £150 per sheet so should be void free. If anyone knows where I can obtain decent teak-faced marineply (12mm & 15mm) then please let me know. Again I am not one for whingeing but three times is a bit much and expensive!!!

There have been earlier posts about Robbins - some good, some not.

sorry to be tight, but go to wickes builders merchants... have a look th their far eastern wpb, about 13 squids a sheet, then post back with you thoughts.

i need an honest opinion, as i use loads of this stuff for "wet" jobs.

cheers, steve.

Hi Steve

I agree if I just wanted marine ply then that is what I buy but I need teak-faced which seems to bump it up a lot. I even thought of buying the teak veneer seperately and sticking to a marine sheet. There must be someone out there that makes and sells decent teak-faced marine ply (12 & 15mm) at a good price. In Holland I can get the stuff at half the price and twice the quality, why?
