Maiden on telly

I thought it was a fab documentary. I followed the Maidens race with great interest when I was learning my sailing trade and found them a great motivating force.

It's got some excellent moments of mysogenistic old duffers looking somewhat chagrined by their success and helps one realise how much the world has moved on. BZ Tracey. :encouragement:

We've not had a vhs recorder for 20odd years and the tv is rarely on these days - I don't do much recording live broadcast tv, thus asking.

Thank you for your most helpful answer none the less tho
You are most welcome :) If you don’t have some sort of recorder then it will be available on bbc iplayer. Iplayer is available on laptop, computers, tablets, phones etc. You can download most programs and watch offline at anytime.

That was fantastic viewing, thank you so much for the heads-up!

Hats off to her - not just for the Maiden achievement but for her later work in child protection.

Excellent, even Bob agreed :triumphant:

Only if you have a TV Licence.

Having just finished watching it using the delay function on my telly, I can say that the Beeb is worth the licence fee for showing it. An inspirational group of sailors with a driven skipper in Tracy Edwards.
