I have recently (a couple of days ago) bought a copy from Amazon USA.

I thought it was a fab documentary. I followed the Maidens race with great interest when I was learning my sailing trade and found them a great motivating force.

It's got some excellent moments of mysogenistic old duffers looking somewhat chagrined by their success and helps one realise how much the world has moved on. BZ Tracey. :encouragement:

Barry Phillips showed me Maiden’s binnacle compass (a Rigel Poseidon) on his bench for repair when I called on him to collect mine. It was more than somewhat manky. I’m very glad the boat has been recovered and refitted.

Not sure it will; it is listed as a documentary film in Radio Times and others have said it was in the cinema. I thought iPlayer was for BBC productions?

BTW my PVR offers to record the "whole series", but it is very unreliable on such matters!

We've not had a vhs recorder for 20odd years and the tv is rarely on these days - I don't do much recording live broadcast tv, thus asking.

You are most welcome If you don’t have some sort of recorder then it will be available on bbc iplayer. Iplayer is available on laptop, computers, tablets, phones etc. You can download most programs and watch offline at anytime.

Having just finished watching it using the delay function on my telly, I can say that the Beeb is worth the licence fee for showing it. An inspirational group of sailors with a driven skipper in Tracy Edwards.

I haven't watched it yet. But I do have her book written with Tim Madge, also called "Maiden" and published in 1990.
