Hello,

I dropped my Icom M94DE handheld VHF into the water at Pin Mill on river Orwell today. The radio could float, and would flash in the water. The MMSI is 235934701. If anyone found it could you let me know please? Thank you.

Best wishes,
Da

To the OP, a good beachcombing spot is just upriver of Woolverstone marina. (Left bank, looking at bridge). A lot of stuff gets caught in that little beach on the corner. Good luck.

Thank you for your tip. I’ll go by dinghy to have a look tomorrow at high tide. I lost it just after high tide— I thought it would be going downstream of pin mill. But it floats, so it could end up anywhere.

We were in Harwich and were picking up an AIS MOB on Thursday. It was reporting a position on the beach near Harwich, we informed Dover Coastguard to calm everyone down!
I will go to the boat later and read off the last position and compare the mmsi.
Tim.

Had a look but it was deleted. Fwir it was somewhere near Tower Hill on the east shoreline of Harwich. If you contact Dover CG, they should be able to give you the last position and mmsi. My call sign was C Rider ZNAG5.
