Hi everyone - been reading the posts for a while!!

I am currently looking for a bigger boat!!!!

We currently have a 5.8m Rib that we use regularly all arround the country. We regularly take part on Rib cruises organised by BIBOA and have been on 2-3 day cruises down the Thames, Solent, east Coast Rivers, South West and to the isles of Scilly - We've had "Rib Panther" for about 4 years.

Now we are looking for somethin a little bigger! - that we can sleep on, and enjoy in all weathers.

So we are looking around and our preference would be for a Flybridge style 32 - 37ft size.

We have had a look at the Jeanneux Prestige 32 and 36 - and are rather taken by the 36!!

If anybody has experience of these (I've searched the forum and I've seen there are some out there) I would really appreciate your comments on things to look for on either a new or nearly new boat.

Obviously any other help or suggestions on a suitable boat welcome (We looked at some Sealines in Brixham last weekend)

Cheers
Jools

I lived aboard a prestige 36 for a little while and it was a fantastic boat, not the quickest fish in the pond with approx 29 knots from twin kad300`s but a great sea worthy boat, fixtures and fittings proved to be upto scratch but make sure you have heating as its nice to have a cockpit vent for those evenings out back with a bottle of wine or 2!! Have a look at Ancasta Brighton, they have a stunning 36 for sale at a steal.

Hi there.. I did consider a new Prestige 36 for our school boat early last year. I thought it was reasonably priced. However we opted for a preowned Sealine F36 in the end, mainly as the Sealine was already "MCA coded".

Coding the new Prestige would have put a fair bit on the price. Nice boat though

You may like also to look at an F36 or F37, they started making the F37 in 2001 I believe. Our little F36 has done the equivalent of 7.5 years hours in one year with no major problems.

Had a new Prestige 36 delivered in February this year, just approaching 70 hours use and very pleased so far. Have had minor problems with build quality but not enough to detract from the thrill of a new boat. We had the new Volvo D6's rated at 310hp, they are very quiet, smooth and economical, and on test gave us 32 knts, this has dropped back a little since they were remapped to take account of the (supposed) lower octane rating of the fuel we use here as opposed to Sweden, currently in discussion with Volvo over this.
We are birthed in Plymouyh and there are 4 other 36's here, most of which are used quite hard and all the owners have nothing but praise for the sea worthy nature of the hulls.
If you require more specific details pm me and i will endever to give you the benefit of my scant knowledge.
