We were coming back from the IoW to Chi harbour yesterday at around 3pm when the Lancaster and a Spitfire passed us in Hayling Bay heading east. Amazing to see, especially when you are not expecting it.

We were there anchored off Bournemouth yesterday. It was 4 hours of fantastic displays of some fabulous aircraft.
The tornado's were something else with their noise and the speed that they flew past at very very low level.
The WW2 planes were superb with an enactment of a dogfight with the spitfire and me109
All in all a brilliant day out and for free.

Yup... we were going the opposite direction and saw them - just superb... also saw the Vulcan in the distance banking over Seaview area..... :)

We watched yesterday from the beach at Boscombe, as we usually do.

Can't quite decide which was louder - the Tornado or the Vulcan :)

The Red Arrows were as brilliant as ever but it was poignant to see only seven of them, rather than the usual "diamond nine". Hopefully they'll be back to full strength next year.

took my canon slr+zoom lens with me and anchored up near bournemouth pier.
took some amazing photos as the planes were directly over head.
plugged into the pc today and all the ones i took of planes are completely blank and white!!
thinks..... this amature needs to read the instructions again. lol.
i thought buying an slr would make me a pro but its harder than it looks... nice pics, well done.
i might download yours and tell the wife i took them ;-)
